Hosting
The application, its database and the uploaded files are hosted by two providers:
- Application and database — Fly.io, Inc., 2261 Market
Street #4990, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States
(fly.io).
The application is served from the Paris region, France
(
cdg). - Media files — Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States (cloudflare.com), R2 object storage. No restriction of location to the European Union is enabled on that space to date: its Western European location is therefore not guaranteed.
Transcoding (playback renditions, thumbnails) may also be carried out on machines owned and operated by the publisher, outside those providers' data centres: see the privacy policy.
Intellectual property
The structure of the site, its texts, graphics, logos and software are the property of the publisher, unless stated otherwise. Any unauthorised reproduction is an infringement.
Everything users upload — audio, video, comments — remains the exclusive property of its authors or rights holders. WAF acquires no ownership over that content: see the Your content section of the terms of use.
Hosting provider status — reporting illegal content
For content uploaded by its users, WAF acts as a hosting provider within the meaning of article 6 of French law no. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, and of regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services. WAF carries out no general prior monitoring of the content it stores.
Anyone may report content they consider illegal by writing to contact@waf.fm, stating:
- the date of the notification and the identity of the notifier;
- the exact address of the content (the share link concerned) and a description of it;
- the legal and factual grounds for removal;
- where applicable, a copy of the request sent to the author of the content, or evidence that they could not be reached.
Reports are handled diligently and the notifier is informed of the outcome. A manifestly abusive notification engages the liability of its author.
